We are extremely excited to be a part of the Indian Independence Day celebrations on August 12th. Shehnaaz Dance Academy strives to be a part of this culturally diverse and every growing community through dance. The Indian Independence Day celebration, on the Exchange Place waterfront is a huge platform for our little students to showcase their talents and show their solidarity to the Indian Community. 

This year we have 2 performances lined up for this event, both Classically inclined. Our first piece is the Internationally famous JAI HO. We have tried to incorporate basic Bharatnatyam form and movements to this fast paced song. Our second piece is the Patriotic RANG DE BASANTI, which has been choreographed in the Bhangra Style with a Classical Twist.
