      Pooja Varshneya
      Hindi Teacher

Pooja, a Jersey City resident, is a native Hindi speaker, poet and lover of Hindi Literature. She grew up reading the works of eminent Hindi authors and poets like Premchand, Amrit Pritam and Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. Pooja loves to pen down short stories and is extremely passionate about spreading the love of Hindi language and Indian Culture through early learning and education. Pooja strives to make learning fun by using cognitive props, poetry, stories and group activities. She has focused a lot of her energies and drive on creating a wholesome curriculum which will attract the interest of the children to keep them focused on learning while having fun.

Pooja is a software engineer with a Masters degree in Computer Science, but chooses to spend her free time working on putting together our Hindi Syllabus, curating and hand making innovative props and visual cues for our Paathshaala students. Pooja, is deeply invested in the Jersey City community and works very hard to coordinate the Community Caregivers Program at York Street Project (YSP) which helps provide activities for the community while monetarily helping out YSP obtain donations to run its services.

     Shehnaaz Jagasia
     Founder & Creative Head at Shehnaaz Dance Academy

Shehnaaz Jagasia, a geneticist by profession, chose to pursue her passion for dance in 2009 when she began training children in Bollywood Indian dance. Shehnaaz is a trained dancer in Classical Dance form of Bharatnatyam (Dr. Swaminathan) and has learnt other dance forms (like Jazz, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha) from the Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts.

Shehnaaz Dance Academy (SDA) is has been a staple for Bollywood Dance in Jersey City since 2012. We conduct lessons at various public and private schools in Jersey City, downtown studio classes and several private small group lessons. Additionally, we offer BollyHIIT classes at local studios and choreography for private events and special occasions.

Namrata Ramani
Our Mentor & Syllabus Curator

Mrs. Namrata Ramani has taught at the Army Public School (CBSE), Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi since January 2008. She has been an integral part of the Head exam cell of the school for the last 10 years. Her strive and determination in making Army Public School a knowledge bank for all her students, past, present and future.

Our syllabus has been carefully curated keeping the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) guidelines in mind. Our learning techniques and worksheets are especially designed for Preschool (3-4 years) students and Elementary School (5+ years) students.
