Shehnaaz Dance Academy is excited to be a part of the Hamilton Park Montessori’s Afterschool Program this Winter/Spring 2024!

Winter/Spring 2024 Semester Information
Tuesdays Lower Campus @ HPMS (1 Mc Williams Pl)- 3:15pm- 4:15pm February 6th- May 20th (No Class 4/2)
Tentative Spring Showcase Date May 18th, 2024

*Semester Fees does not include cost of costume and ticketing fees for events.

HPMS Upper School Indian Dance Class

Dates- Mondays in Winter/Spring
Time- 3:30pm - 4:30pm

Our SDA Bollywood class will focus on

  • learning age appropriate stance, postures and spatial positioning

  • learning semi complex technique and choreography

  • concentration and working as part of a team

  • musical cues/beats and timing their moves with respect to the beat

  • learning one 2- 2.5 minute choreography

  • being confident and expressing themselves on stage thorugh music and dance

  • Biweekly Practice Videos will be provided for at home practice.

HPMS Lower School Indian Dance Class

Dates- Tuesdays in Winter/Spring
Time- 3:15pm - 4:15pm

Our SDA Bollywood class will focus on

  • learning basic stance, postures and spatial positioning

  • concentration and working as part of a team

  • musical cues/beats and timing their moves with respect to the beat

  • developing hand - leg coordination and awareness of their movements and transitions between moves. 

  • learning one 2- 2.5 minute choreography

  • being confident and expressing themselves on stage thorugh music and dance
